BACKGROUND
Chris serves as the Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel for JD Bravo Company. Prior to this, he served as an Environmental Attorney and business advisor for various businesses. He specialized in risk assessment for environmentally challenged properties and environmental due diligence for development projects, including compliance reporting and bonding approval. He is an effective communicator who understands technical problems and can synthesize those issues to non-technically minded stakeholders.
In addition to private practice, Chris served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the United States District Court, District of Minnesota and as a Judicial Law Clerk at the New Jersey Superior Court. In these roles, he advised judges on complex federal litigation and drafted opinions related to contracts, labor and employment, ERISA, insurance, education, constitution, immigration, and corporate formation issues.
Chris has been regularly recognized for his attention to detail and clear communication skills, which are the cornerstones of excellent client service and satisfaction he offers. His problem-solving experience spans small and large casework:
- Environmental compliance for Retail Centers, Pipeline Infrastructure, Landfills, and Chemical Companies
- Major Airlines’ Pension Plan Contract Interpretation
- Superfund (CERCLA) and RCRA Clean-ups
- Commercial Offices and Residential Development on formerly contaminated (brownfield) sites
- City-wide stormwater regulation
- Major fruit importation compliance
Chris is and Eagle Scout and serves as an Assistant Scoutmaster for his local Boy Scout Troop.
